I like it other than the height and wheels but then again if he has done that much he probably has that being changed soon ..... I want to know if he shaved the taillights or am I stil the only one to do that on our celica's???

I think the $$$ (wasn't it 4G's? Good God...somebody got the short end of the stick) could have been better spent on a nice suspension setup and some 18"s instead of that horrid color change. I'll admit the shaved doors are nice, but thats about it.

DISCLAIMER: This is whats known as an "opinion", not a "flame" or a "crack" as the owner of this car seems to be confused about. Take it with a grain of salt and go on with your life. As long as your happy with it - cause thankfully you're the one who has to be seen it it, not me. ;)

i feel bad for the guy. he was all excited about the color change and then we pretty much all tell him it looks bad :(

That's a good desciption of it. Although, it is close to smurf blue. But even I'd never paint a car that color.

Photoshop. Even if he does not have it or know how to use it, all you have to do is come to this board and ask, someone will do it for you. Look in the PS Forum, they do it all the time. Its really the only way to see how a color/mod/wheel will look on your car without actually doing it, thats the genius behind that method. I mean, if you were about to make such a drastic change to your car, wouldn't you try to get as many outside opinions and see it from every possible angle BEFORE you committed??? Maybe he would have chosen a different color if he saw a photo of it like the one posted (although Im sure in person it looks a little better). Its just common sense to me. Why do something that garish and costly when it just going to get played out in a matter of a year or so (IMHO)? When I was looking for new wheels, I must have spent MONTHS pondering over which ones to get, what would look good, weight differences, offsets, finishes, etc...I probably photoshopped close to 2 dozen wheel combos on my car BEFORE I even went shopping. Maybe I just don't understand some peoples train of thought?

BTW - the reason people were dissing him is because of the way he reacted to peoples opinions that he ASKED for. Had he remained mature and professional, I doubt that thread would have gone as far as it did.

My .02 for what its worth.

to be quite honest i like that car better than most of the people on this borad(mainly the people flaming him on this thread and the original thread he started)....why you ask...because he does not have his head up his a**....so he went out and did something different...whats the big deal....if you don't like it don't post anything......or if you do post atleast be nice about it.......i respect this guy more than anybody else on this thread..atleast he has the balls to go out and do something different.....whoever owns this car i give you mad props............ First of all...the car is clean..and well done...the paint job is excellent looking. If it were a different color, it's be off the hook...

The color just isn't right to me...I don't agree with it, and it's my own personal opinion.

And you don't need balls to do something totally over the top....

Just bad taste...

Damn...this guys car is going to be one of those things that circulates to every car board and gets ripped on...like that Del Slow that had the BMW Z3 front end conversion...a rolling joke. I wonder if his car has made it to beaterz.com or ricecop.com yet? And wheres this guy at? I guess he either gave up the losing battle of defending this peice, or he hung himself after he realized what he had done...:o

The comments on ClubSi were pretty funny. I really liked the guy that added the Smurf stickers to the side of it. It kind of made the car look better....

well...to each their own...

I'm sure people don't like my car or it's color also...but i like it, so that's all that matters...

just make sure the next mod's to take the lift kit off and throw on some rims... but i know it gets expensive... but you got one of the more expensive (and worth every penny) mods done... the paint's what you first notice bout' the car and will make it stand out in a crowd...
