View Full Version : Pic request of the Japan Blitz style -vs- American Blitz style

Can someone post side-by-side (figuratively speaking of course) pictures of the both Blitz style front ends? I've seen numerous pictures of both styles, but without having them both on the same page, it's difficult for me to see the difference. What is the difference in price of the two fronts?
Thanks in advance,

I tried that but my permutations of Blitz, japanese, american, and front end on my subsequent searches didn't bring up the thread I was looking for (I remember the thread too). So I was HOPING someone could post the pix.

Ah! I see the difference now thanks Bomber!! I think I like the Japanese style better. Where can you get the Japanese style front end and is there a price difference between the two???

Jotan is right.
The wider front opening is Imported Version and the high narrow ugly a$$ looking ones are the domestic style one.
Installing the Imported version, you won't be able to use ur stock fogs with it as it has an wide opening which takes the spaces for fogs. Vice versa for domestic version.
I suggest you get rid of fogs and juss install imported version, as it is much nicer. You see the difference yourself and look at Jotan's ride.

Yeah Jotan is right about them being in reverse. Jotan and I have explained this so many times. But the opening the U.S version is smaller but is curvier, the Imported version has a wider middle opening but is kinda boxey.
I have had both the Imported and the U.S. version. I got the Imported version in Feb and got it installed and painted in March. I fit was so crappy that the body shop took over 6 hours to work on it just to make it look right. Even in the picture with the carbon blue celi (not Jotan) that the curves are way out there and it doesnt line up with the body and sticks out way to much on the sides. There was a 6 inch gap at the wheel well and two inch gap underneath. The was way over the top fo the piece and there was a noticable gap between the bumper and the hood. In At the end of April the fiberglass started to crack, keep in mind I got it installed beginning of March. I called the place that sold it to me and they blamed it on the body shop of course. I was so miserable with it and the look just wasnt right due to the sides sticking out. I went ahead and ordered a Urethane one. Enough complaining and the company that I got it from gave me a hell of a deal on a U.S. Urethane one and guarenteed the fit. Well I just got my car back from the shop last friday and it looked 10 times better the the Imported one. The fit was near perfect. I wouldnt recommend the Imported version.
To each his own on the look but I would have to say that the U.S. version looks a lot better than the imported. Take it from a guy that has both. I still need to take pics of the Urethane front then you can make your own decision. Just look for my pics.

neither of that bumper is from Japan. The white celica, is done by a local fiber glass shop, and the urethane is a copy from the fiberglass (the white Celica) by some local urethane shop here in LA, somewhere close to 91 freeway. And they only call this Blitz because the design came from the Blitz Supra. Watch out for false Ads!!!

I dont know i kinda like the US version from the pics. Seems to conform to the body better and doesnt stick out on the sides which to me looks cheesy. I also like that you can keep the fogs on the US.

The japan has not just a wider opening. but the front looks more proportional. The u.s. one looks scrunched up in the front like it's squashed while The jap one seems like it protrudes further in the front. I've heard that mbautosports carries this squashed up u.s. version.

Yeah, U.S version looks to bulky and I don't like the way it goes straight down unlike the Jap Spec

This coming from a guy that doesnt even own a kit. But each person has their own taste. I said before I have both versions and the U.S. one is so much better.

why would I waste my hard-earned money on something that I find revolting?
I don't need a kit on my car. My car doesn't need to stand out or whatever. I personally think that kits are a waste of money, but that's my opinion.
