OK, this is getting ridiculous. TRD won't make a forced induction system for the Celica, but they'll make the Echo a turbo car?

The Vitz is already offered in a turbo model in Japan, I believe. Or at least a TRD turbo.

They should've brought the Vitz to the states instead of the Echo.

They won't turbo sell a turboed GT-S. The cost would be too much for the average comsumer to be willing to spend. And they won't turbo a GT Celica because it would against increase the cost and compete with the GT-S which is not very smart.

This is why we hate TRD

What does TRD have to do with this? There is no mention of them in this article.

Toyota Australia made a Turbo Corolla Sportivo for a few years also.

Agreed, if you are going to bring an ugly as sin car, at least make it a trendy ugly as sin car.

Here in PR we have some turboed echoes in low 14's....It's a very simple car for turbocharging and the engine is stronger than the Celi's.....

TRD tried to persuade Toyota USA to bring the Vitz to the US last year, but that effort sort of failed.

I think the Vitz looks alot better than the Echo, IMO.
