i called a car place around here about getting some springs for me and putting them on. they said that they had some in stock, they were a drop of about 1.25". and then they said, for the springs and to put on would be around $475. he said the springs were a pain in the ass to put on, so id hafta leave the car about almost all day. is this a ridiculous price or about what i would pay?

Just get a couple of friends and do it yourself. That's what I'm gonna do in a couple weeks here. There is an install guide here:

Pain in the a$$??? I did my last install BY MYSELF in like 2-3 hours, and I didn't even use my air tools. I normally charge $75-$100 for spring install depending on difficulty. Where you located? I will do it for $50.

Had mine done at a local speed shop for $100.00 and it took them about an hour.

My friend and I did mine in an hour and a half. $475 is way too much. $200 max for the springs and $150 maybe $200 to put them on if you get someone else to do it.
