Just got my TYC Taillights in the mail today. The packaging and light assemblies are top notch. Hopefully I'll have them installed before this weekend's meet here in San Diego. Are these things pretty easy to install? I've never removed my taillights, so any tips on removal and installation would be greatly appreciated!

Tail lamp removal is easy. 4 bolts each side and there off. Post pix when installed.

Actually I think it is just 3 bolts.. I have had mine off and on about 3 times it might take you 30 minutes max the first time.

So all I'll need to remove are the 2 panels to get to the taillights?

Note: one of the bolts on each tailight assembly is awkward to remove and tighten. You'll need an angled wrench or a very small 10mm wrench. A socket wrench (even with extentions) will not work on that particular bolt.

You know I always post pics Jamie;).
Well, I just got done installing them. Here's my intitial review of the install. The right taillamp fit perfectly. No unsightly gaps and it does come flush with the car. However, the story is not the same with the left side. There is a gap on top and the left side doesn't come exactly flush with the car. I loosened the screws and took a look at the assembly itself. I couldn't figure exactly where the mold was off, so i tightened it back on, but the gap was still there. It's bearable, and you can't really notice it until you compare it to the right side. It took me about 45 minutes, due to the tinkering I did with the left tailight. Otherwise it probably would've taken only 30 minutes or less. BTW, you'll have to replace the blinking bulb to amber, since the turn signal lense itself is red. Overall, they look pretty good, and I'll be taking pictures this weekend to post up. I'll have to give a score of 7 out of 10 on fit. Now, I hope they don't fog up:rolleyes:. I'm gonna keep my stock ones just in case;)....

Actually, install was very simple, just alittle time consuming due to fit. Like Celwin said:" one of the bolts on each tailight assembly is awkward to remove and tighten. You'll need an angled wrench or a very small 10mm wrench. A socket wrench (even with extentions) will not work on that particular bolt." Other than that, it was pretty straight forward.
