Okay so my check engine light came on so i brought in to the good ol yota dealership. I get a call saying that it came up that my engine was having random misfires?? so they checked the coils, sparkplugs and nothing was wrong so that was good. Then i never brought my car in for those two recalls involving the DRL's and the master brake cylinder so thye did those. Just to bring my damn car in 87$ but if anything happens its covered by them. So when the woman is driving my car back to me my front right headlight it out. and they say that it's not their fault because they only touched the DRL's not my headlight.... wow I was pissed. I was like you are fixing it and I am not paying for it. After some hassling I got the new bulb for free, when it would of cost $50. stupid dealership. Also while they were fixing my car like 4 dealers and some mechanics came over and were admiring my car. Makes you feel good.

What's with dealerships? I always hear bad things from them. Well, I'm one of the victim too.

they are shi!ty, that's what's with them. for my recall on the master brake cylinder/DRL's, they fvcked up MY drl's. the lamp that's supposed to be running for the daytime (the orange one)....stays on for my passenger side even at night. it never turns off. i informed them about it and they said "they didn't do it, it must have been you when you put in your HIDS" and i was uhh..no. this was before my HID's it happened, i noticed it the first night after i got out of your damn dealership". they didn't listen. fvck them.

tips #1 dealerships are stealerships. if you want an engine code read go to autozone. they have scanners and then you can take the code they give you and look it up online and take you car to a reputable shop that does work cheaper than a stealership.
random misfires can also be a MAF sensor. try cleaning it.
just to show you how ignorant salesmen are. i went in to pick up a owners manual in my '00 gts, completely stock. and a salesmen asked if it was an 07 because it looked in such good condition. i proceeded to tell him actually this model ended production in 05 in the US and this is infact an 00. i bet he felt like he was on his A game.

so u coudln't go to autozone and get the code pulled for free?? and come back here for help?? even though knowing dealership are always sh*tty?? and although there is a recall on the brake thing and DRL they aren't suppose to touch it w/out informing u first hand..i only brought mine in for the brake thing, which turn out to be nothing at all..they still send me the DRL thing..i'm not giving them the chance to touch it..changes are they just reset the cel for your missfire and u'll get it again later..but sux for ur situation..next time..don't bring it to the dealer..dude..
never go to the stealership
