I don't get it, I've never had a CEL until tonight. I started the car up (it was really cold) and there it was. I've had my Injen CAI for about 14,000 miles and no problems. I get home and I re-check all of those hoses and they all seem fine. Checked the filter, that seemed fine as well. I noticed a little grim/dirt around the MAF, but I doubt that would be the problem.

Any one care to think what the problem is? I hope its not major, I am going to take it to the dealer to get it checked ASAP.

BTW> I have 31,000 miles and have had to problems (knock on wood).

perhaps the gas cap isn't screwed on all the way?

Please let us know if you figure it out.

Welp I took it to the dealer and it was worse than I thought. Apprently the #2 cylinder was miss-firing, because the cylinder wall was leaking oil. Don't know how it happened, but they are replacing it under warranty.

New cylinder head, gasket...etc.

I asked the dealer about it, and they said that this was quite frequent (standard job he said).

Hmmm.....

Did it have anything at all to do with the CAI ? Was it making any weird noises? or hesitating? I have had a CEL a couple times now, one that I reset the ECU and it went away and one where it just went off itself. Please let us know

I highly doubt it has anything to do with the CAI. I don't see how that could have affected it. I have yet to hear from the dealer, but when I do I'll let you guys know.

how long did it take them to do the repair?? so when you got the CEL, you just took it in and they checked the code, do you know if they charge for checking the CEL?? cause after having the intake in for about 12k miles the CEL came on twice, the first time it went off cause one of the hose came off I think not sure cause I readjusted something so it might have came off when I was readjusting it or something, don't know but it turned off after i drove it around, then recently its back on again so i checked all the hose on the intake, everything seems to be fine, the MAF is kinda dirty from what I could tell...so you think I should bring my car in?? thanks
