body kit from the dealer or not? opinions?

Hey listen i really want to put the "official" TRD body kit on my car by the end of this summer. Does anyone know how much the dealer charges for the kit? Should i have them paint it and put it on or bring it somewhere else? Are there places i could get this kit cheaper???

The dealership quoted me $3,300.00 (installed) for the TRD kit (Action Package). And this was a year ago...

Man, spend $1K on the WW with paint and install and buy a crap load of more mods with the other $2300 you have left over. No one should spend $3300 on a darn kit.

TRD kits are already painted, so it should only be the instal and the kit.

Personally, I think that there are much better looking kits out there if you are willing to spend that much money.

TRD is a dime a dozen now. Everyone and their grandmothers have it on their car.

The TRD Sides and Rear are very clean from the dealer. They are also Urethane. The front bumper is overpriced but the sides and rear are very reasonable. Also, if you look closely TRD puts a Rubber lining around there kits... its different and cleaner looking.

I like the idea of the WW kit, however i want the TRD front bumper real or knock off. I called the parts department of a toyota dealer to find out the actuall price of the kit is. He didn't even know what i was talking about when i asked him the price of the body kit. i sat on hold for ten minutes and then he told me he couldn't find it and all he had were the prices of each piece individually. I could help but tell him that if you take all the prices of each individual part and add it all together you get the price of the kit! I think i was fortunate enough to speak to the dumbest man on the planet today and completely waste 15 minutes of my hour break between my two jobs. Anyway, what little info i actually got from him was that the front bumber alone was like $1700. Ridiculous. So is that the only kit WW makes for the Celica? because the only thing i don't like about it is the front bumper.

i wouldn't mind the action package on my car. either that or kaminari but a lot of people are starting to buy that one...i've always loved the WW kit. very clean

yeah the front is a little "plain" but i love the rear :)
