just got a new clutch installed and need to know how to properly break it in and what i cant be doing. i did do a search but came up with nothing of use. so yeah help!!

No excess slipping of the clutch (like launching) for 500 miles. That's about it.

So he cant launch the car for 500 miles!? Hows he going to start moving! haha. But seriously, do you mean like no 5k RPM clutch dumps? Or no very slow launches where it 'burns' the clutch?

from what i was told is that i cant shift above 3k and to 3k+ launch so yeah

When i got my new clutch i didnt hit lift for around 1.5-2k miles.

The recommended way to break it in is to just do normal "city" type driving for the first 500 miles or so (no long trips or anything). Probably though just don't beat on it for a while and you should be good to go.

Technically, yes, but you won't achieve the full gripping force of the friction material unless it's properly bedded in. Same concept as brake pads, since they work in the same way. And if you overwork the clutch/brake pads in the beginning, you can glaze the surface of the flywheel/rotors and reduce the permanent effectiveness even more.
