which of u guys participate in the street races? please post up if you do..
i use to back in the day (i guess u can say 1st gen of 7th gen street racers heh :)) wen i had my gts..
however, i still go out there with the present celica owners who street race.. u can call me their Don King.. i usually set up all their runs.. hehe
we know there arent a lot that participate.. thus the creation of this thread..
on a regular night we usualy have 2 gts representing.. on a good day probably 4.. you wont see us in the public street races in milpitas.. we usually go to more organized runs.. more racers.. less spectators.. less chance of 50s
so if u go out there post up.. or if ur interested and just dont know anybody.. post up and i can give u some info..
im not a racer..but im genes side kick......everyone calls me for the runs heheheh aint that right gene lol

wus up everyone. I am proud to say I am a Street Racer, :) hehe. The celica at the street races are considered the underdog among the other cars but myself and other celica like trippin and xskoopx are slowly changing the way people see celica. :D You should see some of the reaction people get when they see the celica beat type R, RSX type S, mustang, datsun, integer, etc... :) but yeah it would be nice to see some more celica out there representing but I totally understand that its illegal and all so consider the consequences before you decide to come out and play. :P We don't go to the public runs anymore, me personally will only go to private runs which are setup by Gene or some other people that I know of, that way it stays small and no idiot doing donut and crap to attract attention to the group. The Private runs are usually 20-30 cars so its kewl. Well I hope to see some new "Street Racers" out there. Take it easy everyone. Lates

Just don't do it in my city. I would hate to pull over a fellow celica owner.

used to go to mili LONG TIME AGO but not anymore since it's too hot over there (meaning too many cops, too many spectators, not much runners) i dont race my celi since its auto but had a projekt crx but sold it :( ...my cousin with a white GT runs at oakland with some other celis from the 510 but lately i havent been to the street races... waitin for 2 of my friends projekts to be done, then i want to be going back in the scene... even though i aint runnin its fun watchin my friends run... aightz keep it real! :burnout:

Organized street racing is dangerous.....illegals is a proper term for it i think....
I engage in fun street racing but nothing serious... i've done racing mostly in Milpitas at night by the Macarthy ranch..... I think that place is quiet at night where no cops patrol.....
SF is the worst place to do it IMO.... Concord and Walnut Creek is not preffered cuz tooooo many freakin cops....

:chuckles: YOshi31 and I was talking about this at Wednesday Meet at GolfLand. I won't pull you over just for some missing plate (If it's not hanging infront of ur car front bumper, then it is missing plate). But there are a few officier who will. Most of the time it the new ones. They usually have something to prove or they follow every words in the book. I guess that's why we have a bad rep. Anyway. Don't be be scared to say hi to me if u see me on the street in uniform.

hey bravo, my buddy is a cadet at glendale, and they say there's a crackdown on cars that look racey
they're told to "punk" them
anyways, i think all you street racers, if theres no danger except for yourselfs, then fine, go suicide
just dont race on the freeways or where other people can get hurt

I'll be reppin for the DSM's once my shiftin hand fully recovers from getting fugked up at the autocross. I'll let genie know once I'm all ready. Heard from him that the new generation of 7th gen owners are doing the Celica name a lot of good on the streets. Wanna see if my ol' skool 1g Laser can still take them on. :)
