I was looking everywhere on this site for a good guide, but for a person that's never done it before, I just saw random pictures without any explanations. I needed to know where needed to be done, so I could do it safely. Well, here's the website I found, which does a very good job!

My question would be to other is, did anyone cut their stock bumpers? I think most of you didn't, so that you can return to stock springs once you're finished. They said they did it for more of an effective suspension by allowing more travel. I'm sure that could account for a smoother ride. If you don't cut the bump stops, then the ride would be very firm and rough, right?

Yeah you have to cut the bumpers in half. I bought an extra set off someone so I have my stock set somewhere.

Hotchkis springs come with new bumps, you can probably order them fairly cheap and use them with any other brand of springs.

nice, but i think my spring compressor method is better, using a ratchet tie down and a concrete pillar
