LSD helical oil type

can someone reconfirm what oil type/thickness they use for their LSD helical, i have the TRD LSD helical. ive been reading, some stay with standard stock oil, some go with 90. what are u guys using?

note: my celi is turboed so im guessing i need thicker oil than stock

I was also wondering about this? Can you use MT-90 or do you need LSC Helical gear oil that is special?

The Motul 300 gear oil is what I'm running for over 4years and I have a Quaife LSD installed...runs great and with smooth shifting!

i found 90 PA LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL... any say on this?

I have a Toyota LSD. Not TRD but it's also helical. I called Redline and they suggested MT90. That happens to be the one everyone on this forum recommends. So any standard 75w90 GL-4 would work. You only need additives if you have a clutch-type LSD.

Thanks for posting that - I've got a Quaife and I've always wondered what the fuss was about - it's not as though you could dissolve the thing!

Synchromesh for most applications, Red Line MTL for very high torque setups (>400whp)

I ended up getting MOTUL 300.... only oil i could find here that fit the criteria and they highly recommended it. so i hope it works like a charm. ill be updating this thread on the long run to tell you how it goes

I've been using Redline MT-90 for 2 years for no problem..
I have Quaife Helical LSD...
