Yesterday I took my car to Toyota because my speedometer wasen't working. Come to find out that the part that goes into the transmission was croaded says the technician. Which is kinda wierd to me.So now my miles are stuck, and my speedometer doesn't work. However my RPM and gas gauges still work.
It's covered under factory warranty, but im still waiting for the part to come in. So while I wait my miles will be stuck on 25k.
has anybody ever seen anything like this?

Sure - speed sensors can fail in any car from time to time. Nothing to worry about - once they replace it you will be good as new (assuming they made the diagnosis correctly). Be glad you drive a manual and not an automatic - they have issues when the speed sensor fails...

Yeah, i hear that.
But check this out: My VVTL wasent kicking in yesterday. I called Toyota to ask them if they have any idea what the problem is. The technician said it's because of the speed sensor. But I don't think that is the problem because it's working fine today. I think it was because of rain and the CAI. but im not sure......

This may seem simple, but are you sure your GT-S was warmend up enough? Lift will not engage until the car is warm enough.

That's the way it was acting.... Like the car was cold even after i was running for over an hour. It would act exactly like the car was cold. but hey, it's at toyota right now so hopefully this will be resolved.
