Hey guys n girls!
I live in the UK and own a 2000 JDM SS-II Superstrut model. I bought the car with Tein Super Street coilovers (part no. GSY22-B1SS4) fitted. Now, those of you who can be bothered to google that part no. will see that these coilovers are no longer widely available, and Tein UK tell me that new dampers cost a ridiculous amount of money.
My quetsion is, do you guys know how easy/ expensive it is to have coilovers overhauled/ re-conditioned? Ive heard the word re-valved used as well, but not sure if that involves new struts.
I had my girlfriend's brother (mechanic) look at them and he says the front ones are really worn. I must say the car doesnt make any bad noises or handle badly, but I love my car and want to sort it out!
If any of you guys have any info. or other ideas about where to get parts for the superstrut model I would be very grateful!
Oh yeah, I know its a Superstrut model because my chassis no./ VIN number is TA-ZZT231-BLFVF(Z) which ends in a 'Z' meaning 'Superstrut model', the non- Superstruts dont have this 'Z'.
Again any info/ resources for parts would be helpful!
