will a 255 fit on a 8.5" wide wheel okay? the ones on them now are 245?

so 245/40 --> 255/40 on a 8.5" wide wheel.

It'll fit the wheel, but if you're dropped low it will rub up against the fenders.

You'll prob rub on full lock.
