I was just wondering if someone could either confirm for me or point me in the right direction on whether the 2000 GT-S struts are the same ones used for the 2001-2005 GT. Thanks!

Wow, quick reply, you guys rock! Is there any way I can confirm the part #'s are the same? I've been searching Partznet and Champion ToyotaWorld but they don't list part #'s unfortunately.

Well, according to the Toyota Service Manuals, they don't differentiate suspension components between the GT and GTS. When it gets down to the brakes, engine components, and other accessories, they do provide individual diagrams pertaining to each class.
Besides, I just know because this has been asked a lot. :gap:

Excellent, this makes my life a lot easier! I hate to be such a N00B, but can someone confirm this is all I'll need to replace my struts?

Yep, along with a spring compressor which you can rent from an autoparts store for free.
Everything else is reusuable, rubber boot, spring, nuts, etc.

The front struts and springs are different because GT-S is heavier. The front springs are also different for the auto and manual models, both for GT and GT-S.
Part numbers:
Front Struts
GT Model: R 48510-29755, L 48520-29465
GT-S Model: R 48510-29756, L 48520-29466
Rear Struts: R/L 48530-29775

Probably, it's better to replace both front struts at the same time. It's not good when one is old and another is new.
