View Full Version : Big AZ Meet - SoCal rendevous for caravan

Lets have a meeting point in San Diego so all of us can caravan together. From around the Los Angeles area, it's said to be 8hrs and from San Diego it's 5hrs.

Los Angeles area people that are going to this meet - please post the locations you are coming from and I'll find a middle point that all of us can gather and caravan to SD.

San Diego area people - please do the same and let us know where to meet your group.

well i dont know the distance from sd to tucson or la to tucson but i have an idea..

you can meet at the ontario mills mall in one of the parking lots(back of the mall is like usually empty). its basically at the intersection of the 15(for the sd people) and the 10(la people) freeway. basically at this point you would take care of 1 hour of the trip. and then jsut continue on the 10 freeway to tucson

Great idea Sups. From LA area its approximately 500miles with an estimated time of 8.5hrs.

That's mapquest for you hehe I think the estimated times on mapquest is if you're travelling at 55mph.

We were thinking of leaving around 3am since the meet time is at 12pm. This will give us time to make a couple of rest stops on the way. At that time there would hopefully be zero traffic and not as much CHP around hehe

Planning to leave Saturday morning at 3am. We still need to find a meeting place for all of us (LA/SD) to gather and caravan together. One idea was given by Sups to meet at the

Ontario Mills Mall
One Mills Circle, Suite 1
Ontario, CA 91764

It's off the 10/15 fwy. Theres an AMC there where we can meet in front of and leave from there.

Any other ideas?

Also, it would be great if all of us So.Cal people that are going to AZ ... help Lauren and Stacy with some of the food and drinks. Just to show our appreciation for them to have this meet and inviting us.

Anyone have a Costco card? Maybe we can chip in for hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks, etc.

Lauren or Stacy ... if you come across this thread let us know what we can do to help to make this meet great.

Sorry for not responding sooner.. Stacy and I were in the Bahama's for our week get-a-way... now back to reality.

We need food.. now be creative because we have no kitchen (at Xel-Ha to cook it up at)..
REMEMBER: At Xel-Ha, NO ALCOHOL.. ALCOHOL will be after the meet.. at the after hours at my house.

Examples: chips, soda, sandwhiches, plates, napkins, cups, fruit, etc.

Yes, please. Stacy and I are renting the room out according to how many people will be there.. so that's why I'm asking.

Also, you guys are more then welcome to come early.. Just PM with the time, and we'll exchange cell phone numbers, I can either meet you guys somewhere.. when you get into town, or give you directions to my house.. There are people coming early.. so if you want to come earlier.. you're more then welcome.

Thanks for your help, baby! Yes, food would help greatly so we all don't starve and Lauren and I are already doing a lot out of pocket like renting the room.

Also...for the peeps staying at our cute little house (I hope we can fit you all) please help us by bringing blankets, pillows, sleeping bags or whatever for crashing on the floor and couches, cause I pretty much just own the sheets on my bed and that's it.

Yup, and a head count would be awesome so we know what we're looking at here for food and everything.

Can't wait to meet you all :D
