Just wanted some feed back from you guys that lower your cars, How the hell do u do it? I mean.. driving over speed bumbs and espically if you have a drive up, driveway... when i go up my drive way.. I think, i I lowered it at all.. the bumber would scrape right off! And Isn't it hella inconviente? I mean everywhere u go theres a speed bump or a drive way that you have to go up. It seems soo bad its not even worth it, I mean you get a car for convience right... and too look good but if you can't go to half the places b/c of your car being lowered or even just a kit. It'll get damaged.... and those road kill....., thanks for scooping them up :gap: LOL so you guys that have the lowered ride... Im not hate'N but just my opinion, I would lower my car too but its too dangerous for me. what do u guys think? is it worth it? I guess thats y u guys did it right?

It's very inconvenient if the car is really slammed like mine is. With a decent set of lowering springs tho, you shouldn't have a problem really. I didn't with the H&Rs and Tanabe SDs I had before.
Nowadays I just have to drive my Accord if I'm going somewhere I know my car isn't gonna make it.
There's a lot of things you have to consider when deciding how low to drop your car... but generally, at least a LITTLE lower is a good thing. ;)

Learn how to drive it right, and you won't scrape. I used to own a mini-truck that was super low, and I rarely scraped because I learned how to drive it right. hehe Took a while to get used to it, but not to hard to do.

I have yet to scrape on anything. Once I get my kit, it may be a different story.

i scrape every few minutes going down the road usually... i reinforced my front bumper and lexaned the underneath of it so that it wouldnt mess up my bumper and mess up the lexan instead. You really do get used to swerving around potholes and road imperfections if your car is slammed. And driveways, you just get used to always going in diagonaly and not straight forward. I find it fun, makes driving almost a challange sometimes.. tryin to get into places at very steep angles. 1 Year 2 Months and my kit is still holding strong! :)

Yeah,
You really have to get used to it --- every ride is like an adventure. I have had three lowered vehicles thus far in my driving career. My Eclipse was slammed. Even without a kit it still scraped in some areas. Diagonal is the key. Navigate carefully and learn the ropes, and you will not have too many headaches. I had my Mitsu for three years and the front end was not chewed up at all --- I just did some minimal touching up before I sold it.

Don't rush eathier... if ur pulling into a parking lot er something don't dash out in front of traffic... give yourself enough time to angle up the driveway. It will become second nature to you don't worry.
PS: Be carefull not to angle to much also... get scratched up Rims that way.

That's what I've been doing. When the Hotchkis springs get put on, it'll be for real then.

I did the same thing for about 6 months b4 i got my sportlines. Its a great tihng to do, b/c you will end up going at angles over every bump with out even thinking about it.
