Weird high pitched sound coming from my engine.

I posted this in the So Cal forum but nobody helped.

Here are my performance mods...injen cai/Apex-i N1 univ. turbo exhaust. A few days ago i started my car and i notice the my exhuast is not as loud as it used to be, i was thinking maybe because i just woke up and my ears are plugged. The next day the some thing, now i got worried. Today the same thing and the CEL came on, I opened the hood and tried to listen to my engine. After a few mins. there's this high pitched drill/hiss coming out of my engine. Seems like its coming out between the intake manifold and throttle body. What the hell is wrong. I've had my mods more than 6mos and never had any problems.

check for leaks in that area or exhaust leaks, your problem sounds like air is ocming out of somewhere that it's not supposed too come out of.

See if the squeek is the belt tentioner .... it may need to be replaced. The delay could be in the fans comming on every soo often, Also check to see if your vacume hoses are tight!
Why dont peeps reuse the hose clamps that originally came with the car. They make everything secure and tight!

when i installed my new intake manifold, it never leaked. Been ok for 3mos. I never had the problem before.

Sounds like your belt tensioner or your valves needs an adjustment..

Where in SO Cal are you? I might be able to take a peek at it for ya.

I read the subject line and immediately thought that it may be Richard Simmons under your hood resulting in the high-pitched squeaking noise. The belt tensioner is always a possibility, but if your scroll the list of possibilities listed already, don't hesitate, take her in.

I was able to fix it. When i got a new stock intake manifold, there's this thing that i need to plug that i forgot too.
