Allright, I managed to snap a few quick photo's of my new TYC Taillights, umm...along with my new v11 Smoked Overlays for them, which covers the back-up light and housing. I thought the white stood out too much, these look much better imo:). Another one is in the works;).

These are nice lights, although the fitment of the left assembly was alittle off. The right side fit just fine. Packaging was excellent, and the quality of the taillamps themselves appears to be top notch. Installation took me about 45 minutes, only because I was playing around with the left taillight to get it to fit flush. There's a gap at the top which is bearable.

One thing I noticed is that the turn signal indicator is red as well, not amber. I thought a flashing yellow turn signal indicator is required. I went to the auto parts store to try to find an amber bulb that will fit the socket, but no luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated. More pics later...enjoy:).

Bat, you should make a red overlay for the reverse light. It would look better IMO.

Yeah, anywhere in the US red or amber is a legal rear turn signal. Front should be amber in all, some states allow white in front.

hey i have an idea what if I redded out the old altezzas with bats red vinly. Do you guys think that will look great?

I finally finished my v3 Altezza/Yangston Overlay kit. I origionally did it in red tint, but I didn't like the way it looked with the chrome underneath. I'll be posting pics soon:).

I just reded out my altezzas with the transparent candy apple red paint...only one prob...not shiny at all. Looks like matte paper (like the paper used with some photos) Anyone have any idea how i could make it shiny? I used about 3 coats of clear coats, and wax and buffed it, yet its still a dull color. I'll take pics tonight

yes red turns have to be legal everywhere since mustangs and stuff have all red on the back. so why the hell isn't the celica just all red anyway. what were they thinking.

I like the smoked tint, kinda reminds me of the Euro cars, like the Golf GTI. I am planning on put an Overlay on top (ala Postert) and on the inner sides.

Bat, i got the exact same problem on my left side tyc light. THe light protrudes out like 2 mm at the side and has like a 5mm gap also

I'm glad it's not just me. I tried fiddling with it for a while but I still couldn't get it to fit flush with the car. The bolts are screwed in tightle too:(.

if he had a red overlay for the reverse light, wouldn't it look just like the stock taillights w/ red overlay? then it kind of defeats the purpose of getting these TYC taillights.

redo them.. remove the paint you did w/ some paint thinner, then respray them with very light and thin coats.. then go over it with GLOSSY clear coat..

or you can just remove the paint and buy some red overlay from bat..

I'm sorry, but I really dislike those TYC lamps. There isn't anything out for the Celica market for talilamps that i like at all!

i'm not sure i like those taillights with the tint on them, i might hafta see them in person, but oh...i saw your rims on a BMW and they looked awesome!!!! i didn't like them at first, but in person......they're bad ass! you hafta see cars in person because sometimes, the pictures like like sh!t. nice rims!

The wheels definately look nicer in person! They're silver, but the sun makes 'em look white at times. BTW-here's a pic of the gap on my left taillamp.
