My sponsor insists that I put this CF wing on my car, but I am not sure if it will look good. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have never liked the aluminum wings at all. In my opinion your wing should match the body lines of your car and not look like a cheap aftermarket-afterthought. Just an opinion that many people disagree with. If you like it, then go for it and scrw what everybody thinks. Just don't paint your car Baby blue will ya?

hmm.... you'll definately be the first... looks like the brackets will be too long to fit on the rear hatch of the celica...

you should know on this board that 90% of the people are going to say no cus its an aluminum style.. i say go for it, carbon fiber, close mounts, i like it, im with jotan on this one

I am thinking of going for it too. I am going to be in LA next month, so I am going to hold it up to my car to see how it looks, and make my decision from there. It's a spendy wing though, even at my price. My new kit arrived yesterday, and hopefully today I will finally get to see what the sides and rear look like. I hear they look bada$$.
The wing is on a small car in that pic, but I think on the Celica it will look okay. It will match my hood real nice too.

I've seen many similar wings in Option mags/videos etc. and they look good. The beefy stands look better on a trunk that has space tho... it might not look so good on the hatch of the Celica. I have a feeling it's gonna look overpowering.
I say get the wing and have some smaller mounting brackets made. I suggest that you try to get the ones on the apr spoiler or have somethng made simular to it.
Ive seen that wing in person and it does look nice.
The mid peice is full carbon fiber and the side are black aluminum.
If your going to put it on as is I say no. If you can get smaller mounts then I say do it.
I say it will look nice if done right. If it is left as is it will look ricey our car with those huge mounts.

Too good of price to post here. ;) I think it will look good with the new kit they made for my car. Like I said, I will hold it up to my car, and if it looks good, I will buy it. Otherwise, I will stick with my C-One style wing.

4B: The ENTIRE wing is made of CF including the side pieces. I do agree with the smaller mounts. I should check into that later on today.

hmm... i'm not about the C-ONE wing... by judging the more "box-y" style of the kit pics... i'd say it may work out...just watch the width of the wing in comparison with the car... i.e. i'd say if it ends up about a 1" inside of the bodyline on both side or less go for it... just my opinion...

I say do it if you're planning on adding fender flares or widebody, jus so that the rest of the car is wider to go w/ the wide wing. BTW..that wing looks a lot like the C-West Wing

I was going to say no, but if you look at the pics on importfan.com they have it on an S2000. Plus, now that I see it's all CF, I'd say go for it. Believe it or not, yota_racer, I have seen many Celicas with aluminum wings that looked good. It only looks bad, IMO, when you have it on a car that is pretty much stock. Obviously, your car isn't stock, and is heavily modded. Go for it!

what the hell you talkin about.. all celi with aluminum looks bad!! jk! :) it really depends on how the car looks... like if the whole car looks agressive then it would look good

the price on that thing is $1800
if youre gonna spend that much might as well throw in another $200 and get the c-west wing
now THAT wing is a pimpin one. see if they can hook you up with that one instead :D

That's actually an MR2 with a tailight and headlight conversion. IMO the wing is too big.

I think it is way to big and aluminum dont look good on celi's. IMO. But hey if they are paying for your stuff, i would do what they want.

Only problem with that wing is... I saw it with my own eye.. people drive around with that wing... well similar..
Cause the post are close together.... wing's both end shake up and down... it's like flapping around to fly or something......
Unless they are built well and stiff enough..... who know if that wing is better......

imo, all aftermarket wings look like ass. apparently, only the car maker has any taste in manufacturing wings for the car. howerver, the trd one is pushing it...
as an appearance mod... I don't understand why anyone would want to put something that doesn't matcht he color of their car. especially cf hoods. a whole 30lbs is shaved off by running your car with a cf hood. sure, every little bit matters... but I don't think the 200-300 is worth it when that same amount can buy you a CAI and maybe a SS if you know the right people.
then again, it's your money :)

I would just like CF hood with CF(if they made it) middle section of the TRD wing... I think that'll match really good....
I hope the CF hood price goes down.... I don't think I can affor 500 for the hood......

I am with jotan and nccelica on this one too. I think it would look tight on your setup. But I hope you are not gonna pay $1K for it. Thats a lot of $$$ for a wing.

i agree... CF hood with APR or any CF wing looks great. IMO, if you do go with that wing, you need a CF hood and like gunmetal rims

Just so you know, those ones that flap around are urethane or really thin fiberglass, aluminum or CF wings are stiff... i can sit on my wing and it doesnt bend hehe :)

ATTENTION EVERYONE: I am sponsored by them, so I DON"T have to pay full price. I am getting a great deal. Quit mentioning price, because it has nothing to do with my decision.
Secondly, please check out importfan.com and see the pics of my new kit. That will help you get a better idea of what it will all look like when it's done.
As far as the C-One wing someone mentioned, I have it on their now but may go with the CF wing as long as I like the way it looks. I will be in LA next month for HIN, and will make my decision then.

Andy, like I have stated in this thread several times. I am paying such a low price that I can't even mention it on this site. ;) If I had to pay too much, I wouldn't get it. I have seen the wing in person, and the quality is unreal.

i love cf wings...people make "comments" on my friend's c-west cf wing on his rx-7...
that wing would cost more than all the mods that those dayam ricers have in their car...
