I found a pair of Power Slot Brake Rotors for the Celica GTS 2000. I was wondering if those are compatible with the Celica GT 2000??

Also, I have a 2000 Celica, will the Power Slot brake rotors that say "01-04 Celica GT or GTS" work on my 2000???

Thanks for the help!

I think I remember reading the calipers off of a 2000 celica are a little different.

Oh.. so GT-S rotors won't fit correctly to the GT's calipers?

I must've got this wrong.. also it also says Hawk Brake Pads for "01-04 Celica's".. So would those Hawk pads fit onto my 2000 Celica??

If you get no answers from anyone here, check with Toyota and cross check part numbers if they are the same then you are ok. But I think for 2000 you have a little bit different brake set up. Not sure if it is only for 2000 GT or 2000 GTS.

Unless you're gonna do engine work, don't bother getting bigger rotors/calipers.

Track days! So yea, I eventually plan on getting bigger rotors.. Would I need to upgrade calipers if I upgrade rotors?

But definitely upgrade pads..

the front i believe are the same but the rear are different. the rear of the GT are drums unlike the GTS which are disc. you can always convert your rear GT drums brake to GTS disc brakes..

Useless statement.

It all depends on personal driving preferences.

The front brakes maybe the same for both GT & GT-S, but are the 2000 GT brakes the same as the GT-S 2000 or even GT 2001/GT-S2001??

I know what you mean. I know 2001+ GT and GTS front are the same. I have the rear brake conversion, when I order brakes I just say I am a 2002 GTS even though I am a 2002 GT, and 2002 or 2000 GTS rear. I forgot now.

NO the 2000 model is a slightly different size. 2000 gt and gts front rotors are the same, so you have to get 2000 model year rotors for your 2000 celica.

Yes the '01-'05 gt and gts front rotors are the same for both cars but NOT the same for 2000.

Both 2000 and 2001-2005 rear brakes are different, the GT has drums the GTS has discs.

Oooook. Thanks!

What about Brake Pads?? Could I use 2001 GT or GT-S aftermarket brake pads with my 2000 GT??

Um, I think they are a bit smaller too. You should always go with the model year suggested. There's different applications for a reason. Get 2000 pads/rotors for the 2000 and 2001-2005 rotors/pads for the other one.

If you go BBK later I would also make sure they are for the specific model year.

2000 gt and gts front rotors are the sameNo. The 2000GT front is an orphan. All the other years/trims are the same.

The good news is you can get Hawk Blues or HT-10's for the 2000GT front. See the frozenrotor website. While you are there see the different part numbers for the 2000GT rotors vs. all the other combinations.
