Don't overpay for that sportivo crap. Just get trd springs, and kyb gr-2's. TRD re-badged the GR-2's as trd shocks.

i have TRD Japan (Sportivo) on mine. I really like the results, handling is way better, ride quality is near the same as before the car was drop. It gives a cool and smooth look to the Celica in my opinion. Really appreciate mine!

TRD USA are GR-2, but mine are made by Tockiko

Am I correct that Gr-2's and TRD shocks aren't made for drops over 1.5"? Seems like 1.5" isn't much of a drop. Are you guys happy with the drop of the TRD springs?

I have TRD USA springs/struts (click link on my sig for pics). They settle in quite nicely and are supposed to drop lower than the Sportivo drop on paper - I forget the exact numbers. I do wish they would drop a bit more though, like to around 1.5". Supposedly due to the geometry of the suspension, any drop that 1.5" or greater would put extra strain on the suspension (I think aftermarket endlinks would fix most of this), which is why both TRD Sportivo and USA sets are a modest drop.

Do you have more pictures of your ride so we can see how the drop looks? Also, are your wheels 18"?

I have 2003 GT action Package and got GTS rims last month but will not be putting them on until spring. I plan on getting them power coated gunmetal just like the celica TRD - Canada and the /celica M sport

Not it doesn't! It is nearly the same as stock suspension in my opinion, just a little bit stiffer. I have 17" on my Celica, the drop is around 1"

I'm pretty satisfied with my TRD USA springs. They look like they drop the car lower than the Sportivos while still getting over 95% of bumps or dips without scraping. Mine makes it over those ramps that those mechanic shops use to work on your car just by a couple millimeters, like 1/8", which typically won't work for lowered cars. Plus they're progressively wound so they get stiffer the harder you drive while still being very compliant for moderate driving.

give me some insight, I work at a Toyota dealership in Pittsburgh PA, just bought a 2001 GT and it needs all new suspension. I can get trd stuff for cost, but is it worth it? Seems tokico or KYB GR-2 are cheaper.

TRD parts are rebagged KYBs and eiback springs -plus if you have a warranty with toyota it will not effect it. The best of both worlds so I made my decision to get trd parts but dont know which to get the TRD USA or Sportivo
