anyone heard anything about them? their price r so good on tirerack, 98 a pop for 215/40/17, how much should i expect for mount and balance?
p.s. do u think i should go for 215/40/17 or 215/45/17? i'm deciding from kumho 712, parada spec2, sumitmoto HTR Z +(something like that)
please give me some suggestion guys
and yea, i'm getting the Axis touring cup from mike, but need new tires

if u go to tirerack.com, search tire, put in 215/40/17 size, u'll see it for 98 dollars, cheaper than sumitomo htr Z II

i'll give you an answer but i'm not sure it'll help you too much, due to the tire being so new barely anyone has had a chance to drive on them so can't really give you an opinion on how good they are. If you tell us what you want in a tire some of us could probably reccomend other tires for you.

I'm diggin my Kumho's for sure. They need some break-in time but they stick well. I've never been on the other brands, but I'm sure you'll get some feedback.

yea i heard kumhos r well priced and good performer, how u guys like sumitomo HTR Z II? review on tirerack has some very positive review, oh also, since this is parada spec2, wouldn't it be comparable to the original parada? so if anyone has any experience on original parada, please help the little bro here :) thx

I just got the parada's installed today. I dunno bout mounting and balancing b/c i ordered them through discount tire's shop by my house. Your best bet is to do the same thing but tell the workers about the price you saw and they will pricematch. So far, i can't say much. My stock 16's were bald as hell, so i really din't have much traction. I can tell you that i take turns just as quickly as i used to and the parada's have kept me in place. I love the tread patter too, so i'm content. I'll take pics of the tire/wheel combo close up if you'd like. So far all i have is this

Hey Jimmy, you shoulda asked me! :) I have the Parada Spec I's on my car and they suck!! They're not as sticky as I thought they'd be. I drove them three times at an autocross and all the times, they were screeching and understeering. I've gotten the back end out, countless times on HWY cloverleafs and they suck in the rain. I've heard some stuff about the Spec II's and I was looking to get them and try them out, in a couple of months. Hope this helps! :)

Tread pattern on the spec-2's are cool but they're noisy. Not sure how much they weigh since the I got them with wheels. As far as grip goes...so far they stick like glue to the street. Haven't auto-x'd with them yet but I I've certainly did some hard driving on them.

zippy, you think the spec2's are noisy? I guess i can't tell since my exhaust/intake is so loud :D. I also don't have experience w/ other tires b/c the stock ones were almost bald when i got the car (bought it used).
