Wiring diagram

I was wondering if anyone knows how to get a hold of a wiring diagram for the 2000 toyota celica, without having to buy that damn 100 dollar book from the dealer. i am wanting to be able to play the radio without the keys in the ignition until the door is opened, like in the chevy trucks?

I got the basic wireing diagram from the dealer for about $40.00 Sounds to me like someone's trying to rip you off. I have however seen it in PDF format somewhere, but I'm not sure I remeamber exaclty were...

The "until the door is opened" if going to be the tough part. Rewiring the power source for teh stereo isn't that hard. Designing something that powers up when the car does and powers down when the door opens (but only if it opens when teh car is powered down) is something else alltogether... You would probably have to build a simple circuit board to do it.

you can prob do a work arouind the dome light. whem your doors open the dome light goes on. so you can wire it so that when the light goes on, the radio is tripped and turns off.
