Does any one know anything about the Giovanna rims? I was thinking of getting the G-racing Mito rim witch looks alot like the RH Z5000. The only difference is that the Mito has a smooth lip and the Z5000 has nothches. And that the Mito is $200 dollars cheaper for the tire+rim package. If anybody has any knowledge regarding Giovanna quality, weight, etc., I would appreciate some help.
Here is a pic of Giovanna:

...they're more of a "style" company than a "race" company...I know the weight of them is outrages...they're way too heavy, where as the Racing Harts are light compared to other 18" rims ....like Jotan said..."...you get what you pay for."

Thanks for the help so far.
I wanted to get the 17". How much of a weight difference do you guys think there would be between Gio's and RH's? $200 is not that huge of a difference if the quality/weight is drasticaly different.

Thaks for the pics KING.

They're pretty popular with ppl looking for knock-offs. I see a lot of ppl rolling around with Giovannas here, and truthfully there prolly isn't very much difference in quality at all. They're prolly only 2-3 lbs heavier per rim too, so it's up to you.

The Z5000's aren't really a race rim anyway (as in ultra-lightweight), so if style is what you're going for, and you don't mind the different centercap, then I don't see a real reason not to buy these instead.

Just got an e-mail from Giovanna. They said the 17" weight 18 pounds.

i'd go with the RH over giovanna's any day, especially if it's only 200 dollar difference. then again, i'm bias =)

I got 18" Gio Kugi, but then again, I don't give a f about racing or speed, I personally love them.

I had giovanna Naganos. I had no problems with them except they weighed more at 17 inches than my 18 inches wiegh now.
