Sounds like you already know what you want. MB and Boston Acoustics are both good components. Go listen to them at a stereo shop and see which ones soud better to you. I've heard the Bostons and they sound very nice. Haven't heard the MBs so i can't comment on them.

The JL is a good choice for the sub. You could also check out the Infinity Kappa perfect 10 or 12, or Audiomobile 1024 (can only get it at www.audiomobileinc.com ). Those two have aluminum cones and the sound Q is great from them as well as they pound pretty hard if you want em to (I am running two audiomobile 10's and they sound great). I've used MTX subs too and they aren't bad either.

If you want to save some cash, a 5 channel amp is probably a good idea. I'm pretty sure most good amps (Soundstream, MTX, PPI, Fosgate, etc) carry a 5 channel model. I am running two amps, a monoblock MTX for my subs and a 4 channel MTX for the rest which works nicely.

Those are just my suggestions, but I think the only place you really have to decide is how you want to power your system, a single 5 channel or two amp setup. I think what you have picked out for the speakers and head unit is good.

ok is the 5 channel just a cash saver? would it hurt my performance any? the mono for the sub and the 4 channel would out perform the 5 channel is that correct?

correct...well if your 4 chan and mono block are more powerfull that is...

let say you have a soundstream RUBICON555 rated at 40*4 and 150*1

and the other set up is a RUBICON604 rated at 80*4 and a monoblock RUBICON501 rated at 200*1 @4ohm you run parallel and get 400*1 at 2ohm

you can't compare one to the other

but yeah like he said...go to a store and compare them to your ears...dont' go by what people say it's your years buying not opinions....

I have the MBQ Q series in my front...they are incredible.
I have heard many great things about the Boston and I heard them on Larry's car but they weren't powered right they didn't sound as good as I expected them to sound....

for the sub if you want to bang hard with a single look for a DVC at 2ohm so you can run it at 1 ohm that will give you a kick in your heart believe me heehehee..... even tunning at 2ohms is great I run my 2 12's a 4ohm for better clarity I need a new amp so I can run them at 2 ohm each.....
