alright, so, i need some input. which would be better? Turbo or S/C?
I have an '03GTS. my goal is 250HP, at least, without MAJOR modifications. im lookin to spend $6500 and im trying to get the best for the money. i've been looking at the GReddy and BLITZ S/C, but haven't really found any Turbos.

i just need some advice really. where can i spend my money for the best gear?
should i turbo or s/c for my goal? and what kits/packages are recommended?

thanks!!!!

The SEARCH button is a great tool here on newcelica.org you will find about 100+ threads with the same questions.

ok, so im probably gonna go S/C for the easier install and less problems.
which company (TRD, BLITZ, Greddy, etc) makes the best kit with the best power, parts, and reliability for the money?

with trd u need a new hood wont clear stock hood i know that much and its pricey
greddy least expensive but least performance hopefully the ic project will bump up its performance
blitz not really sure
you could wait for the carvercharger it seems like a sweet deal.

also depends on what kind of sc u wanna go with.... roots style or centri

im lookin to get a roots system.
1. do i need to get a new HOOD for the TRD, or just the raised scoop?
2. what're the numbers for the greddy?
3. i've heard all good reviews performance-wise for the BLITZ, but, it's almost 7K for it, for and avg. 40HP gain.

1. yeah new hood. but i think it only works for gt anyways...
2. looking at 200ish hp for the gts more with exhaust headers etc.
3. from what ive read blitz isnt worth it.

carvercharger is going to be a roots. good pricing as well with everythign u need to simply bolt it up and go. much like greddy.

ide say best bet is greddy or carver for roots. esp seeing as how trd is centri.

but lets break it down.
parts catalog u have 3 options (4 soon) all being roots
Blitz= i would say not worth it honestly
trial= pricey
greddy and carver= good bang for the buck.

ok. how 'bout this: i plan on spending 7K. i wanted to do: 4500 - 5000 for a turbo or s/c kit and then spend the rest on a ECU, header, full exhaust, and gauges. i want something that's good, but not overboard, and DEFINITELY something that's bolt-on, nothing to complicated to install (like a Turbo usually?).

from what i've heard, turbos are a bitch to install on celicas because of their location, and maintaining/tuning a turbo is a lot of time, and maybe money. i know there is more of a tuning option for a turbo than s/c, but i plan on running a s/c kit at stock 6-8PSI.

and, if possible, i'd like to get everything in a kit and not have to buy parts separate or from different companies, unless absolutely necessary and worth it.

same carver or greddy. both match what u want...around 5k use the other 2k for headers exhaust etc etc.

ok. i think right now, im leaning more towards the GReddy kit, only because i found it online, i know the name/reputation, and other guys have it. do you know where i can find more info/pics on it, maybe install and stuff? the GReddy site only has a one line description and pricing, that's it.

ToyoTech

hmm.. searching around here would be the best bet just search greddy supercharger in the search area and thatd produce the best results gl

haha. im 19 too man. im in the Army though, and im leaving in february for awhile. i doubt i'd be able to drop that kind of money into it if i wasn't in the military. but that wont be 'till i come back mid-summer, so, unfortunately, i'll have to wait for it all.

Lol its hard being 19 and trying to mod your celica, all i can usually do is just pay for repairs and oil changes.
