I just reded out my altezzas and put my new CF hood on. Its a VIS hood, and the quality and fit are superb! Here's the link. Tell me what you think.

Are the redded out altezzas glossy? It looks like it has a dull finish. The hood looks good.

I would have to agree! thats why i took them off and fuked with them. I liked them at first, but now i'm damn tired of them.

Yeah, it has a dull finish...I tried as hard as i could to create a glossy finish, i just couldn't get it. Anyone know how? I did the following: painted them with about 3 coats; clear coated them with 3-4 coats; sanded it down a bit with 600 grit paper; then i waxed them 4 times...

if your initial 3 coats of clear red is not glossy, you will not get a glossy finish. the clear red stuff is tricky, and you gotta spray it all while its still pretty wet so that it doesnt get "dusty" with the spray paint mist.

Why do people have this thing with taillights? I like the stock ones the way they are, or if anything, redded out. I hate altezzas.

Yeah I like the stock tail lights redded out but the TYC's are a little more elegant.

Better yet: why buy Altezzas in the first place? So your car will look "different"?! :rofl:
