Turn Signal Question

Can a clear turn signal be tinted or put a vinyl on it to give it that smoke look? I have not seen it done yet

only were the white is. I would leave the spot blank were the bulb shines or just do all of it. and I'm going to put blue bulbs so i can get pulled over some more :) I want to know how it would look on my white Celica b4 I try it but don't know anyone who has done it
