recently one of my neons blew out, so I replaced it with another one. I used Clone's method of wiring, and for some reason the new one doesn't really turn off when the switch is off.. I said it doesn't really because it just dims down but doesn't turn off all the way. However, the other one is fine. I checked all the wiring to see if it got a short, but its fine. what can possibly go wrong?????

uh... weird.

i had a problem and still do similar to this. its with my alarm leds. when my neons are on they come on very dim. i though a wire must've been loose or something, but it turned out they were just picking up electromagnetic fields or something for having their wires run next to the neons. i actually kinda like it. its neat looking.

all i can think is that the switch is screwy or that somewhere something has to be touching a little. like the + and - at the switch, maybe some strands are crossing or maybe they are doing this inside the switch or something.

check out clonegts.com, he installed them and has a guide

he said he followed clone's install. i mean there's nothing to it. positive, ground, mounting the neons, and a switch.

yeah it worked perfectly fine the first time, but after I swapped the burnt out neon with a new one it started doing this.... maybe I'll try a new switch... I don't think its the fuse part since I tried if with only that problem neon and then also the other one, and its the same. Wierd enough is only the new neon I put in did this, while the other old one didn't and turns on and off normally.

i had the same problem when i installed new neons, check to make sure that the wires are making the connection. It seems that when i put the new ones in, i used an inline connector and the connector didn't cut into the wire to make the connection. i hope this solves the prob.
