I went to see a Celica which was for sale for my friend, and i noticed that the suspensions had a kind of clamp attached to them i believe its to lower it even more.. are they good? dangerous? waste of money?

He clamped the coils of the springs together or something? Like he left a compressor attached to it?

If so that is beyond ghetto.

dangerous...just as bad as cutting springs.

I think he's talking about coilover? or a spring compressor?

Ok never mind, I think it's spring compressor. For sure it's dangerous.

I highly doubt that you could ride around with a spring compressor on. They are quite bulky and much longer compared to clamps.

Actually, I think some people just throw them on at the track. I don't think you are supposed to drive with them on all the time.

I used somehting like that on my Ventura/Nova when I was in high school. The rear springs sagged so much I clamped the coils together on the front to level it out.
It actually worked pretty well.

I know some DSM guys(myself included) that would use those big 1in. wide industrial zip ties on the front springs to keep them from decompressing to keep the front end from lifting and prevent wheel hop on hard launches.

We, of course, only used them at the track. And it did make a difference. We were fresh out of high school and self proclaimed "ballers on a budget". That's my contribution to this thread. :)

I checked that on ebay I they don't sell anymore. Where else can I find that?

It did on our eclipses and talons. That's all I can really say as it's my only experience with them. I would NOT suggest having them on all the time.

The best part about that link is the first reviewer used them on his 77 Nova.
Of course, you can just take to picture with you to any parts store.
ΔB 1k!!

that's so easy to make. Do some measuring and use the cnc machine. Is the steal or aluminum?
