is it true that only ingen makes cai's for auto 7th gen celicas?
does any other company make cai's for autos?
and if so...which one is the best for the celica?

Right now, Injen is the only company that makes one for the auto GT. Not AEM, Not Nakayama.
BTW, For peak HP, Injen is the way to go.

Someone got an AEM intake to fit in an auto GT-S. That means a Nakayama would fit, too.

Injen is rated to get around 5-8 HP... Go see dyno results of Injen. Use search function to do so and visit Reviews Forum for Battle of intakes Dyno sheets. Injen provides good high end performance and AEM provides low end.... i mean they are both great intakes but since GT needs more high end power, yeah Injen is the way to go.

I hear the Injen is best for high end, as opposed to AEM for the low end. I usually want more high end power, so I'm glad Injen makes one for the auto GT.

I have AEM on my Auto GT. Its awesome down low whereas the Injen is Awesome up High. I like the low end since Celicas have none.
noobie question coming...what is high end and low end?

hey Oo Dark Star oO...
u say u have an AEM CAI?
i looked at the AEM site...but nowhere does it say that it has the auto GT one...
where did u get urs and how much was it?
Also...just my opinion...
a lot of people say that the celi needs high-end power...
i don't think so...it's sooooooooo lacking low-end
just my 2 cents

High end refers to 6000 RPMs and up (aka lift, second cam, etc. on a GT-S). If you're racing in a 1/4 mile or longer, you'll spend most of your time above 6000 (about 30mph and up). The Injen CAI makes the most power in this area.

I searched so I came across this thread. I could have sworn I read about AEM making a CAI for the GT auto eventually. Over a month has passed since this thread came up. Anyone have updated info about this??? I rather have the low end power that the AEM will produce.
Hrm, is there an AEM CAI for the 97 Celica ST? (I did try researching CAIs for the 97 ST and didn't find much of anything).

That would be me. :wiggle:
Depending on the performance and reviews on the new AEM CAI for the Auto GT-Ss I may switch my AEM CAI for the one that is made specially for the Autos.

As far as the high and low differences look at a dyno of them both and you will see there is very little difference between the two. aem and injen there both way better then stock unless your on a dirt road or driving through allot of water.

On the AEM site, it says the AEM CAI for autos will be out on 9/15/02. It got delayed for a month. I'm still waiting for it to come out also.
