hi..guys
since I installed s-afc and blitz LM intake, I got a CEL!!
so I went to toyota to get the code..it showed "COOLANT TEMPERATURE INSSUFICIENT". so they added some more coolant fluid..they said nothing's wrong on coolant..blamed my new modifications..I just tune up the s-afc..it works really good!! and I double-checked with my friend who got s-afc wiring for s-afc....nothing's wrong on...even I checked the installation for blitz..it was fine!

someone said I have to cut the MAF wire for s-afc? or try a different intake? or just same blitz but new one?

one of them could be a cause of this CEL problem??

Betcha he got a P0125 Amjed.

P0125 - Insufficient Coolant Temp for Closed Loop

weird thing is the code actually indicates that you are having a problem with your primary O2 sensor - either it has an open or short iin teh heater circuit, its bad, or you have the vehicle running so lean it never once goes rich in the first 2 minutes of operation. I'm guessing unless he was probing wires and shorted the O2 sensor wire to its own shielding oe pulled it loose he PROBABLY has the S AFC messed up and the car is running WAY too lean.

ahhh. that does make more sense than the other two... they seemed a lot more internal than the problem he was having.. which seemed much more superficial...

Well I met up with enixt today after work to look at his car...his afc was not installed properly. I found that the shop had CUT his O2 wire on his ECU! They left the side connected to the ECU tapped into his s-afc, then left the side that goes to the O2 sensor connected to nothing!

I couldnt believe it...he had it done at a "reputable" shop and all...and they still messed up something so simple. :(

Regardless, I re-connected his original O2 sensor line...then tapped the afc as it should be. We reset his CEL and he was off.

I have not heard from him since...but I am assuming that his problems are all over.

Hope everything is still good enixt!!

Goodluck!
