What could this be?

Over the past couple of months have noticed a sound coming from the hatch area... The sound is exactly like the rear pump and wiper are on but it isn't.... The sound lasts for about 4-6 seconds and then comes back on a couple of minutes later. It is really weird because I think the wiper and the pump are on but when I look in the rear view mirror, nothing is on.

Anyone know if this is normal or if I should get this checked out?

are u sure its not the glass making that noise....if yes check out gts laids tsb manual:)
