well.... lets first start off by saying it is good to get back onto this site !! i wasn't able to logg on for ever !!

as far as for whats important -

in the early morning , 4:30am of nov. 17th all my worst fears with my celica came true in one abrupt night

i was heading back home and the differential and some other parts ended up going out in the tranny..... it wasn't able to drive or go into gear and it was stuck - on the side of the highway

i managed to baby the car far enough off the highway so it couldn't be seen that well - bad move on my part !!

i ended up having to leave it there until daybreak until i could get it towed the next morning and well......

it didn't make it !!

two fockers came by at about 8:00 am and decided to totally **** up my celica !!!

they broke into it by smashing out the driverside window with a crowbar

they stole my dvd /tv / and stereo = all that kicker gear i had just put back in (subs...amps...ext.)

they managed to also find my lug keys to my wheels (19"axis Hagens) and took them too leaving my car sitting on concrete blocks

they then decided to play baseball with the passenger side of the car with that crowbar - not too pretty

they kicked a big dent in the driverside door too

then all my windows were smashed out

when they took the dvd / tv units they ****ed up the dash pretty bad - has to be replaced - as well as when they were sitting in the seats with glass on them .....the seats got all ****erd up !!

i shouldn't have left my celica but whats done is done and now i have to deal with insurance crap

good news of all this is that they caught the two guys doing this and they have been arrested and are both facing felony charges of theft and vandalism (destuction of property)

a bunch of passing by witnesses saw them and reported the license plate of there car to the police

they had tracked the car to a location where they made the first arrest

cops were able to retrieve my TV/dvd/and phoenix gold power core

they caught the second guy later saturday evening but couldn't find anymore of my stuff

these guys were not you typical car jacker/thieves

they were in there mid-late 40's and are complete scum that live in a trailer park

as far as insurance dilemas now arrising-

insurance is saying that all my non-stock items are not covered !!(even though i've been kickin down nearly $400 a month for full coverage)

that means that all modifications done to the vehicle and upgrades are not covered - those sons-a-bitches !!!

now i am finding myself having to seek legal advise on how to be reimbursed - ANY one ever been through this before... i need help

this extremely ****ty news and i am sorry i have to tell you all this but well..... **** happens -right ?

wish me luck and i'll keep ya posted
(i'll post the pics as soon as i can get duplicates from the cops and prosecutors)

(insurance is dropping coverage on my celica unless i wanna pay high-risk......does any know what lug pattern the s2000 is ?)

Sorry to hear that, it REALLY sux ... same sorta thing happens to cars dumped/left around here, within a day or two people usually start stripping bits off them , although these cars tend to be old bangers! Good luck with everything :)

Damn man I'm sorry to hear that. Your car was very sweet looking too. Fukking haters:mad:. I hope those losers get whats coming to them. The police should be able to get your money in restitution. You have to provide them with reciepts or at least estimates of what was stolen or damaged and they will fine it to the culprits. Then you go to court and you will get money eventually. It takes forever. Still waiting on mine. I had the same thing happen to my Jeep Cherokee last year. Good Luck to you.

OMG, man that sux. My jaw just dropped when I read that. I really feel for ya bro. Hope those guys get what they deserve. I can understand someone swiping an S2000 antenna here and there. Maybe even my wheels, but damn, smash the entire car and jack everything out of it. Fock those haters. Good luck to you man. I dunno what to tell you. This sort of thing has never happened to me b4. Hope you get everything replaced.

Dood, that really sux, so sad to hear it. Thank goodness they caught the trash who did it.

Sorry, I don't have any advice on insurance/legal stuff. All I know is that insurance companies don't give a f*ck about you except your money and unless you specifically paid for extra coverage on aftermarket stuff, they won't want to reimburse you for it. But good luck, maybe you have a good insurance company to work with on everything.

Maybe if you press charges against those guys they might have to reimburse you somehow by law. I know that in my state, I was charged with Criminal Damage, which is only a misdemeanor and I had to repay the "victim." Maybe they have something similar in your state.

A friend of mine just got his Integra stolen, stripped and set on fire. I will ask him if his insurance covered his aftermarket stuff and will let you know!

Again good luck and keep us updated!

Im glad that u managed to find a way back on man. Sorry about your car. It really sucks that something like that could happen so fast. Not even 5 hours after you left your car when someone managed to find it and mess with it. Hope all goes well man

Ppl like that should automatically get 15 minutes of fame with the ppl they victimize in a little room in the cellblock. That's totally fawked up.

What insurance company do you have? I've been with State Farm forever. They cover anything that is part of the car, meaning bolted on. Doesn't matter if it's aftermarket. Hell, they even covered a set of PIAA foglights I had stolen on one of my cars - no questions asked. All I had to do was provide a reciept showing how much I paid for them and they cut me a check right then and there. I don't have to pay extra because of any aftermarket stuff. As long as I can account for anything on or in the car, it's covered. Even if it's just a stuffed rabbit.

I'll try to give you some advice...

Did you ever take pics of your car bone stock? Did you ever take pics of your car w/ the mods? If you can show the changes w/ these pics and still have your receipts from these mods there should be some way to get reimbursed. I talked to my agent today and she said if you got pics to show the changes it helps, but if you have the receipts and full coverage on the car then all should be covered. The only thing that I can think of as a last resort would be to find an expert (I don't know who that could be) who is certified or licensed to do appraisals. That person could figure out a true value of your car including the mods and then you could submit all of this to your insurance company and take it from there. I hope this helps! Sorry to hear about your misfortune.

Sorry to hear that everything got so F'ed for ya. I have heard that anything bolted on is covered but never had that theory tested. I have always had any stereo/electronic equipment insured seperatly. I know it sounds like a waste but for 20 bucks a year, better safe than sorry.

When I was in highschool I had an older car with liability only and a decent system installed (decent for 1990). My car got broken into and they stripped it of everything. With the extra insurance I was reimbersed the 1200 less a 150 dollar deductable.

I encourage everyone to add insurance on your systems. It leaves the ins. company no room to screw you about wether they cover that or not.

yep..my jaw dropped too.... i counldn't imagine that happening to my baby....but mine's barely modded... urs wasnt....sucks dude...the system and everything. :pissed hope everything works out in the long run....it should (400 a month!) its time to start thinking about ur next car..... as i always say to people involved in this kinda stuff..... its done...now its time to think forward. with every cloud there's a silver lining, etc etc..... btw...... i think with an s2k, ur more prone to vandalism just as bad if not worse than what happened to u.... go to their trial.... watch the judge give the sentence.. then their faces..... u should feel better.

thanks for the support guys !! much much appriciated !!

as far as what i have to give to insurance (meeting with adjuster today sometime)

i have been putting a scrapbook together of how my car has changed and modded over the last year and a half

i have kept alot of small reciepts and all the major ones (stereo/rims/TRD stuff...ext.)

i am gonna give this to the adjuster and basically be blunt with him !!

i was paying $170 a month in the beginning when the car was stock

the insurance adjuster and agent re-rated my celica back in february of this year because of how "custom" it was

thats why i started having to pay nearly $400 a month for "fullcoverage"

now they are saying that **** isn't covered ? **** 'em and if i need legal advise i will get it

they are not gonna be screwwing me

insurance has already cancelled policy on the car at the end of the term (i think april) so....

they wanna cancel me because the car is high risk ?
but then they conterdict themselves by saying that only stock items are covered ? THEN WHY THE HELL DID THEY RE-RATE MY ****ING CELICA ?? and not cough up reimburrsement when **** happens ? **** insurance companies !!

thanks again guys and gals for support

(pics of damage by end of week & an s2000 lug pattern is the same ?)

Dude good luck with everything I can't even imagine what you are feeling. all I know is that I would be on the phone with the better business burrow since not only have you had to go through all this #### with your car but now you insurance is saying that your extra 200 dollars a month is so that they can have steak for lunch and lobster for dinner. screw that. I hope they fry the guys that did this to your car I know I get mad if someone looks at my car wrong I don't know what I would do if that happend. Good luck
