whys everyone gotta hate on the tC? They aren't bad cars, they are reasonably priced, decently reliable, and I think they look half way decent too. Lets face it, it's nice to see something other than civics driving around. While the tC is nowhere near as sporty as the Celica, you have to admit for the price and what can be done to them for a tight budget the car does just what scion was trying to do. Yeah I still prefer my Celica but it is nice to see a new popular car on the market that isn't a Honda. Cause lets face it the celica is done and if it is re-released it is going through subaru anyways, so why use it to constantly baash a car that was built for an entirely different customer base?

Well i can't say for all the celica members who hated the tc on here but i can say why I dont like the tc. I was expecting the so called "celica replacement" to be faster, better looking and better driving experienced. TC doesnt have none of those. I undestand that Scion wanted to aim for younger people and cut cost while making it affordable for youngins to buy thus they don't really concentrate on the engine to make it more powerful. But what i didnt realized is that they dont even concentrate on the looks eaither. The one thing that the celica does well is even though the base model is pretty much the same power as a TC, it looks better and sportier and it catches youngins eyes. Trust me, a lot of young people want a sporty lookin car not a car that looks so outdated. I hope scion comes out with a truely fun car to drive because Nissan is destroying the market with young and hip people haivng all these fun cars coming out. U want to aim for the young, follow what nissan is doing. And toyota for crying out loud bring out a sports car already :faint:

The tC is NOT the Celica's replacement. It just picks up for Toyota's sporty compact, where the Celica and MR-2 left a void for.

i don't think theres anything wrong with the tC..i wont ever get one but thats besides the point. and its def not a replacement for the Celica. iono how many of you driven/been in a tC but its not too bad. it has decent power and looks decent. id still choose the tC over a civic any day..except minus the SI. but there is still no replacement for a celica i find worth getting as for as to my liking
