well I put it on already.... yeah I think as one of our club members suggested, it will look nicer polished (shiny). The fit is okay, not as snug as the stock one, because the part holding the battery isn't as large but it will work fine. I did however, dropped the long extensions where the bolts go under the car... luckily it came out the other end alright, or I'll be royally screwed. Now I'm hoping it won't fall off...

does anyone know if the bottom of those "arms" go into any holes at the bottom of the battery? or do they just hook on to the base?

and to racinjason, just a suggestion, it might be good to include matching hardware and the rods with this....

I give it a two thumbs up!!

yes there are two holes that you're supposed to 'loop' the long rods around to make sure they dont fall out...

I just got my battery tie-down yesterday too, and I installed it last night. It looks great, and holds the battery in place quite firmly. It also doesn't interfear with my Tanabe strut tower brace.

Yes, there are holes for the rods that hold the battery tiedown. They are kind of hard to see, you might have to feel around for them. It would have been nice if the kit at least came with replacement bolts, the stock ones are black.

I took a picture with my digital camera, but my batteries are now quite dead. I'll post a picture as soon as they recharge...

Here's a picture of the tiedown:

I took a picture of where the connecting rods hook under the battery, but you really can't see much in the pictures. Here's a picture of the back connector, I wasn't able to get a usefull picture of the front one.

The battery sits on a plastic pan, and under the pan is a metel lip. There is a hole in the center of that metal lip for the rod to hook into.

It would be kind of a pain in the ass, but if you took the battery out, you'd probably be able to see exactly where they go.

I hope that helps.
