Make a more affordable R8 with a turbo V6 or something and I'll be interested.

Back in 1981 I thought cars would look outrageously futuristic in 2001. I still believed that in 1991. Now I can't help but be dissapointed that this 2011 model manages to look like a car that could have been brought out 3 years ago.

I think it's a good looking car. So much so, I'd actually buy one.

1250kg mid engined audi sounds fantastic! Looks wise, it's not bad on the eyes at all. I really don't see why some are calling it ugly.
On the other hand, if this is made to compete with the cayman, I'd expect a little more for that much money... atleast a 6 cylinder.

"Expect to see a range-topping model with a high-output turbocharged mill developing in excess of 300hp."
It doesn't say what engine, but it's most likely a 6 cylinder variant. It'd be nice to see the 2.7tt engine back... But we know that's not going to happen.

^ let's hope so.
I only expected it to be a four banger due to the name. the r8 = v8, r10 = v10, and now this. :wiggle:

I'd really like to see this design and MR layout make it into the next TT. As for a cheaper R8: current chassis, a v6, and a degraded interior would do just fine for a Cayman price tag.

I like it, I'd buy the likely available aftermarket CF blades (Topshop, get ready), and it'd be badazz.

You can park it next to Transcend's GT-R.
