Sup man! Yeah I remember your car - think we got some pics of it in the photo album at photos.yahoo.com/celicahawaii (http://photos.yahoo.com/celicahawaii). :)
Yeah, one of our guys totally blew his car up. Did a 3-2 downshift, grenaded the trans (blew it up to smithereens - literally), the shrapnel took out his starter, etc, and the engine was toast afters too I think. After a big grudge match with Toyota, they agreed to pay for the parts (totalling about $9k) if he paid for labor (about $3.6k). The car's still on the lot waiting for parts. You might remember him too - he had the white GT-S, with just the TRD drop.
So what happened man? Don't tell me you blew up your car too?

samething man 3-2 downshift, luckly it didnt go so bad for me it sounds like damaged valves or timing ,dont know it just happened yesterday and im staying away from my car right now it hurts to hear it in pain...... iv been hearing alot about people 3 to 2 misshifting and blowing there engines and alot of myth about toyota giving them new engines. i dont know well see, oh i think the cruise should be later in december (time to get my engine fixed) new years day sounds good ,if everyone can wake from a raging hangover

Shyt man, that sucks ass!! Luckily the damage wasn't too extensive tho. The main gripe they had with Delo's car was that the damage was so great that they determined it had to be abuse. They came thru in the end tho. There's so many documented cases of your same exact situation that they prolly won't give you any probs at all. In fact the first time Delo took it in before they looked at it, they told him right away it would automatically be covered under warranty, until they saw how blown up it really was I guess. No worries man, take it in right away, but don't drive it at all anymore! The thing is, they take forever to get things moving, so most likely your car is gonna be there into the New year. :(

I guess its good here cuz i have a huge garage and lots of stuff to sit on and make yourself at home. My name is Sean and I am tony's good friend. Hey kevin, its raining inu's and neko's so i guess no powwow at my house anytime soon...:D

Just my luck! Boy last night was great haven't seen it rain like that in a long time. Too bad the thunder and lightning doesn't get to the intesity that it does on the mainland. :(

Whaddaya mean too bad it doesn't get as bad as it does in the mainland? Hell no! There's a reason I don't wanna live anywhere else. :)
Sure PMayhem, come join the pa-tay anytime! The more the merrier I always say. Weather's nuts tho, and you know how I am. I just wiggle my ass and it turns out to be a rain dance. We could try giving Wooyun's spring install a shot - I watched how my uncle did it, I'm just not so confident I know what I'm doing myself. I'm sure all of us together can figure it out tho! Where's Mitch on this one? I know he did the job on his own.

Isn't there an install guide for springs somewhere on here? Maybe you should print it out Clint. But I'm sure that Sean is technically inclined enough to figure it out.

I doubt it's your valve springs. Wait, your car knocks and sounds a rotary engine? That's weird.

How is it everyone's got such low mileage? I have 12k on mine since August of last year and I thought that was low. Plus I have two cars!
Kzn - I get a wierd sound coming from my engine in the morning too lately. Not all the time tho. I think it might be that belt tensioner TSB everyone's been talking about. Another thing, our cars have silent timing chains, so I'm sure that isn't the problem. If it's just a noisy tickety-tickety sound then it's just normal, but if it sounds like a definite clashing of metal, then you know you have a problem! In that case you'd prolly better take the car in quick.
Did you happen to get your AFC fixed btw?
