Hey guys, I need help with needle caliberation. I did the trick where you let the spindles caliberate, and then insert the needles, but I had this feeling that the RPMs and Speedo were off. Indeed they were. I know in 5th Gear in my GT, at 4000RPM, I get about 80mphs. So I took off the needles, and did that. I also put the RPM needle at normal warmth Idle at 700rpm. I also checked to see if Redline was correct, and it came just at the red of the gauge (6800). What are your RPMs/Gear/MPH? so I can finally rest and be sure that I am going at the correct speed.

well your fuel cutoff should be at 7100 rpm. so you gotta get that one right first.

7100? Hmmmm. Well, at idle it stays at 700 correct? Any other Gear/mph/Rpm?

Is 80mph in 5th gear at 4000rpms?

I ususally look at where my car is at redline. Get your tach right by taking both needles off and the turning the car to on on the ignition. Not turning the motor on just the power... Now the car is calibrated to zero. Then put your needles on carefully starting with the tach. make sure both are completely against the zero rest. you should not be able to turn it down any more if you can take the needle back off and try again. After doing this a couple times you should idle about 700-800 after a few seconds of warmup time at the very beginning about 1k You should be ablt to take the tach up to about 7l-7100 at redline where it should start to bounce you off the fuel cut. Then in second gear redline it and you should be about 60-61 mph. 3rd is about 82-83 and in 5th at 80 you should be about 1.5 ticks below 4 or about 3800. Hope this helps ya.

THank you very much. I was caliberating it like you said a while back, but I needed the RPMs and MPHs and Gear notes so that I could make sure that it was close to what it should be. Thanks again
