Revtec.com Stinks...Find Out Why (PICS)

I ordered a TRD Style wing from Revtec.com and they sent it broken!!!

Also the funniest part about all this is that Revtec.com said they wont send me a new one or refund my money cause they know they didnt ship it broken and they'd have to see pictures of it

Revtec should have insured the item with UPS as Wings West does... My first WW spoiler broke in delivery, I called them, and they sent me a new one, no questions asked... I returned the broke one and charged the shipping to them...

I would call Revtec, and tell them they are about to piss off the Celica community...:nono:

yeah they did insure it with UPS thats why they are blamming UPS, if UPS is found at fault then UPS refunds Revtec...Then revtec will send me a new wing but in the mean time my car is at the body ship with my body kit put on and painted as i wait for them to send me a new wing

i bought one from Revtec too....... it came in ok..... but it cracked after 2 month on my ride...... and no garantee.....ok so i bring it to the body shop..... but there a positive note to this, i shaved the 2side caps by the same way :) :)

ringthree i posted numerous times before i ordered the wing from revtec asking everyone where else to get a TRD Style wing, everyone said revtec or mbautosport, and mbautosport doesnt have it anymore. I would have paid more money for better quality if someone else sold it.

I was evening thinking of getting the real TRD wing from TRDusa but they didnt have it was dicontinued ($899)

Dude, if Revtec said UPS did it, then great, Revtec is still responsible, they are obligated to DELIVER TO YOU hte product as specified, not SHIP IT OUT TO YOU. Call those a55clowns back (i like namjas word for this one) and tell them great, so UPS broke it then, give me a return authorization # and I will send it back to you so you can send me a new one. Then you (Revtec) can dispute this with UPS.

Ask them what the hell they think happened, do they think you opened the box and beat the sh1t out of the wing cause you wanted to wait two more weeks to get the same product again? Tell them to send you an authorization number for return shipment, and then reply to them as soon as you have a tracking # and demand thet they send you a new one or your money back immediately.

Here is an e-mail from the revtec people this was the response i got after i sent the pictures of broken wing (like they asked) to them

I have passed the picture to my technican and packing department, and they informed us that when the wing was shipped, there was no damage noticable on the wing. The fracture shown in picture 1 seems to due to external pressure forced on the box...and the fracture line could cause by external pressure such as heavy weight was put on top of the box during UPS transport.At this point, we suggested the best method is for you to contact UPS directly and informed them the damage. Please included all the packaging materials, the damage parts and wait for UPS to send someone to inspect the package.

man...u know...it happens believe me...it does...now by looking at the pictures u posted...and knowing that u have the car in the shop...take the wing to the shop....and have them fix it...the damage there is almost nothing believe me...as long as the wing is structuraly sound..heck go to western auto and buy a bondo kit for 10 bucks....and fill the holes urself...and then take the wing to the shop...they have to pre it..regardless and they will take care of it...thats just my opinion....

n terms of the foil craking...is because of 2 things one...the angle at which the wing was installed was not good...in other worgs there was to much pressure from one of the sides or both, or bacause the size of the screws where to big....besides that...the other main reason of the foil craking is because they simply make the foil with 1 or 2 wraps or layers of fiberglass instead of 2 or 4 which that wings needs....

the thing that piss' me off about this is that they are tring to blame UPS... Did you look at that box? looks like its ion perfect condition to me. My dad works for UPS actuelly LOL (hes does not drive the truck :) ) Oh well just get UPS and Revtec to sort it out and in the end UPS will ahve to pay even though they shouldn't have to. revtec sent u a piece of $hit.

Regarding the broken wing, the "customer" ask his wife to call...and frankly she won't listen to what I told her regarding the return process. And she called us so many fleaking times....and ask about when it will be ship back, what size of the box we gonna use....how fast can it get there.....Honestly I don't mind ship out a replacement to her...but if you keep calling..and then I won't be able to pack the wing and ship it back to her.............guess she doesn't understand that?

Anyway, I still have a couple wing in stock, your cost for the wing is $270USD and it will be ship to you by UPS ground service as freight collect. If you want to order it, please feel free to contact us again.

Here is something else thats funny i wouldnt have started this thread or posted pictures of the wing if he hadnt made me call my friend take pictures of the wing and send it to him just so he could reply back and tell me it was ups's fault and to deal with them. If he had just sent the wing (like he stated in that e-mail to you) then no thread, no pics, no bad rep

gt2000quebec: You did the same thing to your wing that I did. I had the bodyshop mold it into one piece for me. Mine hasn't cracked yet tho and I've had it since December. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Damn, I just received my wing from RevTec today. I guess I gotta go home after work and open it up and see if theres any damage to my wing.

They charged me $53 for UPS freight! I had to write out a check in order for UPS to give me my package. Sucks. I emailed RevTec and asked them to reimburse me for this since I though the $270 included shipping costs.

I will contact UPS today...it is weird if they have you pay a COD amount and write the checks to us, for shipping charges, even if it is freight collect, you should write cheques to UPS directly instead...for they are the one that collect the shipping charges NOT US. Further, we are a Canadian company, we can NOT accept COD amount from US customer from UPS ( I wish we
could).

it should be ok...... my wing came on ok....... and sure well i had to repair it after 2 month..... but it still a good deal if we take a look at the real TRD wing...... here in Canada i can have 3 revtec wing for the price of a real TRD wing................. so after all, i still satisfied of my wing ;) most of minor crack can esaily be fixed by the body shop during paint preparation and it's affordable

Ok, I opened the box a while ago and I think that my spoiler is OK. It's not the best quality but it's just OK. There is a small crack in one of the arms but I'm sure that the bodyshop can fix it.
Also the circular cutouts on the sides of the arms isn't perfect. I think it needs some sanding to be even. I don't have a digicam but from a scale of 1-10...I would give this product a 6.

I just hope that the bodyshop does great prep work and paint it good.

I was charged $250 to paint my hoodscoop and wing. But I had my wing molded into 1 piece, plus I needed some glasswork done on the hoodscoop.

Hey, I dropped off my spoiler and I told him that a lot of prep work was needed to fix the scratches and clean out the edges on the sides. He told me that he will and I should have it ready and installed in a few days. But most likely I will have it installed next Friday since I work. I'll take pics and post it.
