I put in a an injen cold air intake about a week ago. my car is auto yes. it dosen't feel like the car has the same torque pull/ acceleration as it used to from oh 0-30 whatever. just wondering what could be the cause? it almost seems to just kinda .. not go when i floor it at a dead stop. then just kinda slowly pick up until about 5,000rpms and then lift kicks in... at about 37 mph.

Did you reset the ECM after installing the CAI?

im just gonna take an educated guess here, but i dont know that auto are usually very slow when it comes to acceleration.
now your saying that your car is slower than before until a certain point.
alot of these intakes especially short rams take away some of your low end power and give you power later down in your RPM range. im guessing thats the case with this intake.
do you have any cel codes?

no i didn't reset the ecm. i just don't understand. i guess i will try the bbmod... since that looks promising. what i am saying is i dont have the same acceleration as i used to. while in first gear. from 0-40.

i would say before you chop your nice shiny new intake to pieces you do a bit more looking in to the problem. i have a K&N intake and never did the BBmod no cel codes and the car runs fine. go thru your intal again and make sure you didnt leave out any hoses or conections.
when was the last time you changed your transmission oil?
do you feel any slipping at all?

:stupid:Clean the MAF & reset the ECM 1st. If it was a freshly oiled filter... may have some gunk on the MAF now.

Measure the MAF voltage at idle, when things have settled down, to determine if you need the BBmod.

you lose low end power in exchange for some power higher up in the RPM range.

after the intake i think my car was noticably slower below 3 or 4k rpm

Definitely change the tranny fluid, since you don't know when it was done before.

Check to see if you have any service records that came with the car, and look for a change.

definetly check that out
if your tranny fluid is black your in trouble.

best bet is to clean the MAFS, and then reset your ecu.

no the fluid is still red.. but its got that smell to it?.. eh. resetting the ecm by disconnecting the negetive?

h8eternal

i dont know what smell that would be.

unplug your negative
wait about 10 minutes then start your car and let it idle a bit.
