Okay, i've been reading alot about cold air intakes and i understand how they work. My question is about dyno figures. With a CAI don't you get a ram air affect by routing the intake to where it has access to the cold air. When you're driving this would cause more air to be forced into the engine and when you're on a dyno aren't you just relying on engine vacuumm? I'm just wondering whether quoted dyno numbers should go up a bit in real driving applications?
thanks for any thoughts on this.

Some dynos have fans that can blow air in the direction of the filter.

Whatever extra gain there is would probably be cancelled out by the air resistance when you're actually moving, anyway. Kinda makes it a moot point. I don't know really, it's just a thought.
