I was just wandering if anyone knows what could be causing the rattling of my backseat area. I think the aftermarket exhaust is hitting something causing the rattling but I am probably wrong.

Could be your muffler. Sound to me like a cargo cover. Mine was loose. Watch when you drive and you'll notive that it will jump up and down while driving.

my TRD wing or could be the rear hatch that makes a small rattle noise, but it doesnt bother me much, check if your exhaust is loose if that's the problem u think it is

The heatshield over the original muffler, skidplates under the fueltank, play in the backseat lock cath, exhaust hitting the towhook on the right side, jack not fully tightened down, spare tire loose...etc etc

mine does it too all the time during bumbs/train tracks...i think its just the rubber you put around all the entrances to keep the water out is worn out(not enough pushing up to keep the hatch tight)....i cant remember whats its call right now god i feel stupid

I will try those suggestions. The reason I thought it was the exhaust was because it rattled at a certain rpm range. But thanks for the suggestions.

if it rattles at a certain rpm range it could be the note of your exhaust hitting the resonant frequency of your chassis

I had a rattling from the back too
after a couple of days it got really annoying ... it was my antenna
i took it off and that was it. It wasn't on tight enough so when making a turn or driving it rattled
let me know if this helps

Not my cargo cover, but that little plastic tray just behind the backseats always rattles in mine. the clips that hold it in broke and now it shifts around all the time.
