Header help... and some other stuff

I just started tuning my gts and im looking for headers.. I see dc is an option but from what i read they suck so any advice? I have read up on ppe headers but I dont really understand what that is. Thanks for any help..


Btw i've already ordered AEM cai, Greddy Evo 2 cat, Unorthodox underdrive pulley kit, B and M short shifter... Any other quick mods you'd recomend? Maybe new cams?.. brand names?

Oh yea... What are some good carbon fiber brands.. looking to get a new hood as well.

PPE is the company who makes the headers, definitely the best header out for the GTS at the moment. I don't suggest you put on th underdrive crank pulley either, unless you wanna risk blowing the motor.

VIS sells great CF products. Like Mag said, since you have the 2zz, many 2zzer's have had issues with the pulley.

don't bother wasting your money of a dc header. either get your stock header ported, or get a race header from ppe.

Do any of you have the PPE Website? I'm having trouble tracking them down.. and as far as the pulley's go thanks for the underdrive tip... Would i have to expect any problems from just replacing the stock with light weight ones, like the water pump and alternator?

I would suggest waiting for another group buy for the 2zz PPE header, one just ended not too long ago. With the group buy you can say a little money rather then just ordering straight from the web site. ***2zz Group Buy*** (http://www.newcelica.org/forums/showthread.php?t=267225)

I think from here I'm going to start some internal mods. I've been searching for new cams/cam shaft but it seems like most companies only like to provide for old celica models.. Any chance you guys know somebody that provides for 2zz and is good?

The AEM pulleys are crappy just like the others you mentioned. They do nothing and are a waste of money regardless of the brand name. I would hold off on cams until you have an APEXi PFC to tune everything.

I know that Piper makes excellent cams, but if you have the $$$, MWR stroker kit.

Fuel management, like mentioned above, is probably your best bet. No point in having all these mods if you cannot use them to their potential.

pulley u order are crap..if u must use them, just use the alternator..anything else will damage ur engine..
