IS there any loss in Hp if you use the splash guard. I would assume that some hp would be lost because it blocks the air flow.

that does make sense.. unfortunately I never went back to the dyno with and without the splash guard to find out

your worried about the water splashin your Injen; what I did with mine was just put a tape where the lil vents are, this way no water will splash your injen due to your tires on a wet road. need pics ?

that would be a very big puddle of water and even with the splash guard youd be screwed.

somebody told me long time ago that the splash guard will not reduce the hp. it will actually give the injen a even flow of air.

Even if you lost a couple HP it is worth getting. When I cleaned my filter, I noticed that on the side of the splash guard there was a big dent. Probably a rock or something, but it would have sucked if there was no splash guard and it hit my filter.

According to Injen, it doesn't reduce air flow. But then again, Injen says a lot of things.

I thought Injen make heat shield to put on top of the filter or is it just the same meaning, splash/heat...
