Last night I went to visit my family at their place. I reversed my Celi right behind my mom's camry. Later that night she wanted to move her car into the garage and told me to move car up. I went out with her and watched her first, but instead of putting it in drive she puts it in reverse. I saw her reverse lights and before I can say something she hits the gas and BAM....I started shouting at her and she finally realized she wasnt moving forward. She dries into the garage and asked me what the loud noice from her camry was making?????? She didnt even realize she hit me. I look at my rear bumper and it withstood that hit with no problems. To my surprise there was no damage not even a dent. Our rear bumpers are strong as hell. Anyone else realize how strong the rear is?

heck one time a guy rear ended me at 5 mph, and his license plate screws hit the little rubber piece on the stock bumper, no damage at all!

same here i was "spaced" out and i went in reverse and i hit a girl's car on the side door. Not even a mark on my bumper except for a very very tiny paint chip. And her car was damaged pretty badly but she didnt care she said half the damage was already their and we didnt exchange insurance info or anything

yea mine rolled out my drive way into a concrete pillar and all i got was a few minor scratches. You should have seen me trying to catch up with it when i noticed it rolling backwards. It wasn't funny then, but now that i think about it, it cracks me up

My first ever accident was pretty amusing. I have a twin sister, and our first cars were twin cars. And of course, my first accident was me, hitting my sister......I rear ended her, it turned me around, and then someone hit me.....

My first accident was in a Ford Explorer. I wasn't paying attention and ran into the back of one of those huge company worktrucks at about 5-10mph. No damage to their vehicle, but the whole front for the explorer had to be replaced...it wasn't fun having to pay for that.

My car was just rear ended last week, by a Cavalier. Did over 800 dollars worth of damage, at between 5 and 10 mph.

My mom closed the garage door on my rear bumper (I had the car moved back to work under the front). Scraped the hell out of it. :(

A couple of years ago, my dad backed his minivan into my '89 Camry. No damage to his van, but the paint on my front bumper was all cracked and flaking. :(

If you hit a pole or if your bumper corners are hit you are phucked. The celica's bumpers have no reinforcement whatsoever at the corners.

Typical woman driver...she belongs in either a minivan or an SUV.
