I'm just asking because alot of times you start reading these posts, people asking for advice, etc, and the original posters just start getting stupid. Anyway, I guess sometimes it'd be easier to figure out if it's worth your time posting, by seeing how old the person is. Not to make an over generalization, but the little kiddies that blow up their car, and then want to get something different, or just start a flame war. I dont know what I'm trying to say, maybe you do.....

id rather not make that generalization, just because wether the person is 18 or 50, their question could be legit either way

I'm not sayin it's not legit, I'm just saying sometimes I have no idea what mentality I'm dealing with. And I'm not trying ot make the generalization that all the little kids don't know what they are talking about/flaming/etc. I guess it would just help when responding, to know who/what you are dealing with. Like this kid that is tryin to lemon his celica cuz he misshifted, and then he's asking about other cars that he can mod. I mean the kid needs an automatic, not another car to blow up, that was just my point.

If I was the webmaster, I wouldnt ask for age as Larry said. Reason being is you could be 25 and have the mentality of a 16 yr old, so its just extra info that could be used to prejudge members. just my .02

xactly.. dont judge a book by its cover and giving age would just give you part of the cover
