i have a 2000 gt-s sportshift with 44k miles, it makes a sqeeking sound on idle and worst while driving!, so i took it to a toyota delear and found out that the bearing at the tensioner broke cost me $348.50 to have it fixed (dealer said not under warranty...is that right??), but the sound is still there (less louder tho) when i p/u the car. had it check again and discovered the sound was from a drive blet that got wet from a leaking water pump. had it replace at no cost, under warranty. if you guys are hearing weird sound have it check while it's still under 5yrs/60,000 miles powertrain warranty. if not i would pay $500+:angry:
